How to Organize Your College Packing List with Campus Arrival
August 16, 2020
Because moving can be a stress and a hassle, Campus Arrival’s move-in checklists are designed to help make moving as smooth and stress-free as possible. Not only are our lists helpful for a first-time student moving to campus, every list is customized for each specific college and university according to their specifications. This saves time and also ensures you bring only permissible items. No one wants to arrive on campus with things they treasure only to be told that they must either throw them away or ship them home. Especially if it is not convenient for their parents to make a second trip on short notice.
Checklists for colleges and universities include everywhere from University of Alabama to University of Wisconsin, from Harvard University to UCLA. No matter which school you’re attending, there’s a good chance we’ve got it covered. See our list of supported colleges and universities.
Campus Arrival also has a variety of blog posts that talk about nutrition and health, and general advice aimed at making your first year of college less daunting. Visit the Campus Arrival blog.
Simplifying the Transition to College
Although the summer is just getting started, fall is right around the corner. And with the fall season comes the restart of colleges and universities. For many it is business as usual, but for countless others, it is a harrowing first time experience. Just the thought of knowing that with college, comes adulthood and responsibility.
For this reason, many colleges and universities incorporate certain programs into the campus life by providing orientation services specifically for helping parents with the adjustment of leaving their teen-aged adults for the first time. I’m sure it can be just as nerve-wrecking for parents as it is for new college students. This is why it helps to be prepared.
Campus Arrival understands how starting college for the first time can be both exciting and scary at the same time especially if you have never gone somewhere by yourself for an extended period of time. Or, you are not sure what to expect, and that is perfectly normal. You’re not alone. Everyone who has ever attended college for the first time had a feeling of uneasiness and the good part about it; it doesn’t last forever.
Going to college means that we will meet new people and start living life as an adult student. This is normal. But, before we can get to that stage we first have to get packed for campus life. You’re probably thinking I’ll just bring everything I have in my bedroom since it’s around the same size of my future dorm room. That would make things easier; so it seems.
There are so many things that need to be done before moving off to college. Leaving everyone you know behind only adds to the stress. And don’t forget about knowing what you should be packing or not packing. There is so much to do just to get ready even before arriving on campus.
At Campus Arrival, it is our mission to help and support students who are transitioning from high school to college campus while minimizing the stress. We inform students on what to bring on move-in day and what to expect. Checklists include laptop recommendations, school supplies, and how to keep track of everything you have using an app. We take pride in helping students transition from being under their parent’s care to being away from them on campus.
Stepping into college life can be a huge change for many students as well as a challenging experience. Many do not have a clue of what to expect, what should they be focusing on first, and so forth. The first year of your campus life decides your steps towards your future. So, it’s your duty to take the right path and make use of these college freshman checklists that Campus Arrival offers as they will help you to have a bright future ahead.
